Creative Cultures – New Links for Highlanes & Mosney Village

Highlanes Gallery and Mosney Village are set to work together on a project called Connecting Communities Through Art. Mosney Village is set in 80 acres of open green space along the coastline of East County Meath. Home to 900 multi-national residents, Mosney Village is a unique setting that provides all residents with their own private home. At Mosney Village, residents of all nationalities are part of a community that is locally driven and locally responsive to promote inclusion and integration. Highlanes Gallery, home of the Drogheda Municipal Art Collection, and a dynamic programme of temporary exhibitions, offers projects and programmes of engagement with art, artists and ideas from educational, to family and community groups, often working long term, both on site at the truly unique exhibition space, the former Franciscan Church, and offsite within the community. The sense of welcome, connection and engagement that the gallery and its team offer the general visitor is expanded upon in these programmes where a sense of connection, collaboration and activation has a real vibrancy and meaning to those who engage.
